Success of a setting depends upon the response of the school in providing and releasing a Learning Support Assistant LSA to be trained in the techniques, programmes and modelling which may be part of an independent delivery of the programme. It also depends on the Parents being committed to become more aware of the strengths as well as the difficulties that relate to dyslexia.
In addition, understand and be involved with the knowledge base of the programme in order to work effectively singularly or with an LSA.
It is in this light that a course for LSA’s was developed. The training programme instructs on the teaching strategies that LSA’s who work with children with dyslexia can apply. The course is delivered aa a day progamme.
